Virginia Ochoa-Winemiller

About

Dr. Virginia Ochoa-Winemiller is an anthropological archaeologist and cultural geographer focusing on household archaeology, pottery production, the Intermediate area, and the application of technology such as geographic information systems and 3D laser scanners to the analysis of archaeological material culture. Born in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico, she has conducted research in multiple archaeological sites along the Yucatan Peninsula, Belice, and Honduras. Currently, Dr. Ochoa-Winemiller is an associate professor and coordinator of the Latin American, Caribbean, and Latino Studies program at New Jersey City University.
